Do I need a visa ?

Basically every visitor to Russia that is not a Russian national requires both a visa visa but also an official Russian Ministry approved invitation.

Tourist or business Visa's. What is the difference ?

If you are visiting Russia as part of any vacation plans,then you will require a tourist visa. But if you are attending meetings or signing contracts then you should apply for a business invitation.

How do I get a tourist invitation ?.

If you are travelling to Russia on holiday you have 2 options.

If you are dealing directly with the embassy you will need to enclose your tourist voucher & confirmation from your hotel. You can obtain these documents by sending your full passport details directly to your hotel. You should then ask them to send you the relevant documents in Russian, which will allow you to obtain a tourist invitation.

Only then you should go to the Russian Embassy to submit your visa application .We would suggest that you start to queue at their door between the hours of 0700 - 0800 as they only take in a certain number of application each day. You should take along the following documentation to the Russian Embassy: -

Valid Hotel Confirmation
Hotel Invitation Document
Copy of Itinerary
Copy of Flight Tickets
1 Photograph
Russian Visa Form
Passport

How do I get my Russian Toursit Visa ?

Once you have received your invitation / support document you will need to complete the actual visa application form.

When you have done this again you have two options.

1.You can go to the Russian Embassy to submit your application. We would suggest that you start to queue at their door at 0800 as they only take in a certain number of applications each day. You should take along the following documentation to the Russian Embassy: -
